Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery
The course of study leading to Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery comprises 3½ academic years.
The candidate should have completed 17 years on or before 31st December of the year of admission. The age should not be more than 35 years. There is no age bar for ANM/LHV.

a) 10 + 2 class passed or its equivalent preferably with Science (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) subjects with aggregate      of 45% marks.
b) Those who have cleared 10 + 2 Vocational ANM course (revised after 2001) from the school recognized by Indian      Nursing Council.
c)  ANM training 10 + 1½ years training should also have passed 10 + 2 or its equivalent examination.
Entrance/Selection Test
Admission process will take place once in a year. Selection of the candidates will be based on the merit of the entrance examination held by the institute. Students should be medically fit.
Attendance, Progress and Conduct
A candidate should have attended 75% of the formal instruction given on each subject and 75% of the clinical field experience in each area/subject separately during the academic year.
The overall performance of the student and her/his conduct during the entire academic year should be satisfactory.
The student should have passed in the internal assessment in each subject i.e. both in the teaching and practical by securing 50% marks.
The record of practical experience should be complete.
Each student must have a certificate of satisfactory attendance, progress and conduct from the principal of the School of Nursing to be eligible for appearing the Board examination.
